My very cool friend Marta is trying to raise funds on Kickstarter to produce an independent short sci-film this summer (for her Columbia Film School thesis). To help her get to her goal in the final stretch, I've shot an exclusive little people photograph that interprets a scene from the film. I'm offering a very limited edition of hand-signed, numbered lambda C-prints to help her succeed. They will not be available anywhere else.
The image is my interpretation of a scene from the film, when a mysterious object falls from the sky and crash lands in the farm field of a couple of brothers. The photo is a bit of a departure from my usual work on this series. It DOES use little figures and food (including coffee grounds, parsley, dill weed and grass-fed beef). However, it is more of a diorama, shot in a night scene, with a mixture of foods.
I normally wouldn't do this. But Marta is one of my closest friends and as such is incredibly important to me. I'd love to see her succeed and she's getting so very close to her goal.
